Kathleen and Derek - Forever the Youngs

I had the pleasure of photographing Kathleen and Derek's wedding on May 14, 2016. I was so excited they chose the incredible venue, Willow Creek Falls and Vineyard. Every inch at Willow Creek is a photographer's dream.

When I arrived, Kathleen was in the bridal suite getting her hair and makeup finished. She looked exquisite and was exuding happiness and her genuine sweetness. She and the bridesmaids were all in their cute floral robes.

I photographed the details and fell in love with her colors, lavender and cream. The flowers were sweet and romantic. The cake was simplistic perfection.

We did a first look with Kat's bridesmaids and they were blown away by her beauty. We waited for the groom to see her until she walked down the aisle.

I loved capturing Kat's portraits. She is a natural in front of the camera and every detail from her hair to her dress complimented her perfectly.

The guys were carefree and having a great time. I especially liked their matching socks. Derek was not a bit nervous and just excited to see his bride and exchange vows.

The actual wedding was intimate and heartfelt. Derek even teared up as he saw his bride coming down the aisle. I had never seen the love letter and wine box ceremony. It was unique and I love the idea behind it. It's a great idea for newly weds!

After photos we headed for the reception. Candles were lit on every table. Kat and Derek shared their first dance followed by dances with their parents. We snuck out for a few minutes to capture some sunset photos. The grounds are beautiful during the day but truly come alive at sunset.

When we came back in the dance party started. Everyone was in high spirits and having a wonderful time. After the garter and bouquet toss it was time for their departure surrounded by sparklers.

This couple is the sweetest and their wedding was just lovely...see for yourself in the photos.
